Pes C training sounds good, Alvyn? Too bad for you though, you're in Pes A!! Haha. So here's a prelude of your time-table for weeks to come. I'm not going to follow Norman's format, cuz our time-table is F***ing flexible and anything can take place at any time of the day. So I'll just highlight some of the interesting trainings you're going to have.
PHYSICAL TRAINING
1. IPPT skills training - Rather obvious. You train to pass your IPPT which is a NAPFA silver btw. Includes chin-up regimes, duck walks, tuck jumps, push-ups etc.
2. 30:60 - Infamous. You sprint for 30 seconds and jog for 60 seconds, for several cycles, which increases as time goes on. This will gradually evolve into 60:120. you get the idea.
3. Ability Group Run(AGR) - After your IPPT Categorisation Test, you'll be split into groups based on your 2.4 timing. You will then run with those within your ability range. Always shags you out.
4. Combat Physical Training 1(CPT 1) - Includes ten excercises which are supposed to make you combat fit. Note: Physically fit does not equal to combat fit. AKA Bullshit. The exercises have interesting names like Windmill, Bend-leg-body-twist, Push-ups, Squat Benders, Forward Lunge etc, so that you don't get bored.
5. Combat Physical Training 2(CPT 2) -Another bullshit. Basically you just shag yourself out with huge repetitions of push-ups and sit-ups.
Did i miss anything out, shane and daniel?
TECHNICAL TRAINING
1. Foot drill - Marching around under the hot sun. What more can I say? Turn left, turn right, turn left again, now turn backwards etc etc. Cool. Now all the enemy needs to do is to throw one grenade and all of us die.
2. Arms drill - Foot drill with your rifle. The end.
3. Basic Close Combat Training(BCCT) - A lesson where you learn how to fight at close range. Basically a rojak of all different martial arts which the SAF created. Now all we need to do is to wait for the enemy to run out of bullets and come look for us in our hiding spot.
4. Individual Marksmanship Training(IMT) - The coolest training around. Literally. They bring you to this huge air-conditioned complex where you shoot a fake rifle at a computer screen. Must pass this in order to shoot real bullets at the live range.
5. M16S1 Technical Handling - You have to learn how to strip and assemble your rifle within one minute each. Not too difficult. And then you have to load a full magazine of 30 rounds in 50 seconds. This is harder. Then you wrap it all up with the different drills you need to perform if your rifle jams or whatever. In a war, if your weapon jams up, just lie on the floor and pretend to be dead.
Too many things to type, not enough time... Shane or Daniel can continue this if they like. Anyway hope you enjoy all of it Alvyn. I know I did.
