For those needing a good read...
I highly recommend Tom Hodgkinson's How To Be Idle. Yup, that's right, how to be idle! At last! A book teaching you how to chill! Read this book and your perceptions on some of the everyday activities we do will change forever! The style of writing is highly amusing and witty. The ultimate must-have for anyone wishing to live to the ripe old age of 80. Banish all thoughts of work and learn how to be idle right now!
For those needing a good listen...
This is simply one of the best CD i've gotten thus far this year. Yellowcard's high energy rock returns in their second album and Lights and Sounds is arguably better than Ocean Avenue. While still singing about would-be and broken relationships primarily, the lyrics have improved tremendously, so much so that they tug at your heartstrings and it's almost impossible not to feel for the songs. Any band that has a violinist is definitely fantastic. Get this album right now because it's just so good!
Kaiser Chiefs' Employment oozes creative class! Everything about this album makes you feel excited from its packaging to the songs themselves. It's not hard to see why the Kaiser Chiefs has been hailed as one of the most exciting breakthrough bands from Britian because their music is unique, as you'll be able to tell once you've heard their hits such as "Everyday I love you less and less" and " I predict a riot"; i can't even begin to describe it, that's how special they are. Singing with typical british wit, the Kaiser Chiefs is definitely one of the bands to watch out for in the future.
For those seeking new interesting TV programmes...
If you've been suffering from Laguna Beach hangover(which is probably like no one save Mich), listen up because this new TV programme on Channel 16 Travel and Living will blow you away! It's called Fashion Avenue and airs every Thursday at 9pm. Hosted by supermodel Jodie Kidd, this show is all about SHOPPING!
Right, i'm sure you girls are getting all excited now(how can you not?!?), so let me just say that it's an awesome show. Basically, every week they'll present one famous shopping avenue in the world and Jodie Kidd will go shopping there with a certain amount of money! So like last week, she was in London and Paris and oh man, it was fantastic looking at all the shopping. Like she says "this is the show that has everything a woman wants" and i can't agree more. Be sure to catch it; its so good you'll regret if you don't haha.
Ok that's it from me for now. Have fun people!
