3 more weeks to the end of BMT!!! CAN'T WAIT!!! For the past 3 weeks i've been living a very different sort of life from the time before i enlisted, those already enlisted will understand haha. ok let me give u an account of a typical day of a PES C recruit:

0530 wakes up, wash up and fill up water bottle
0545 water parade, during which we must shout out the SAF 7 core values of loyalty to country, leadership, discipline, professionalism, fighting spirit, ethics and care for soldiers, before we proceed to drink up half the bottle. march to the cookhouse for breakfast
0630 area cleaning, clean the bunk, platoon office etc.
0700 draw arms, during which the platoon of 35-40 will line up in a single file and rush to collect our rifles and sign a file all within 3 minutes. after that we will check our rifles to ensure there is no bullet in it
0715 wipe our oily rifles and lock them in the cupboard
0730 physical training, usually some workouts or running round the track
0800 - 1145 various activities depending on the training schedules, including lectures, drills, stand by area/bed (meaning the sergeants and officers will come round and inspect the bunks, corridors, staircase and toilet, or the arrangement of the items inside the cupboards and cabinets), practical lessons etc etc.
1145 march to cookhouse for lunch
1230 - 1730 various activities again ala morning, including route marches, more lessons, tests and etc.
1730 march to cookhouse for dinner
1800 some miscellaneous activities, generally less strenuous than the rest of the day
2000 send in arms, during which we'll check clear our rifles again to make sure there is no bullets in the rifle before sending in our rifles, again within 3 minutes
2030 RO (routine orders) during which the officer will inform us of the time to wake up, the time to fall in for breakfast, some recruit matters if any, etc etc. before RO there'll be water parade again where again we go through the same repetition of shouting the SAF 7 core values before drinking up half the bottle.
2100 generally the beginning of admin time, during which ur free to do anything u want such as showering, washing up, laundry, calling ur loved ones etc etc.
2230 lights out, time to get in bed, officers and sergeants will sometimes walk around to check and make sure no one is anywhere but in their own beds.

doesn't sound too hard eh? haha yea, pes C training is quite a few notches less tough than what the pes A/B goes through. but that doesn't make army life any less monotonous and dull and uncomfortable and whatever. ok i'm gonna sleep and book in again tonight, sianzzz
